Ganga aarti (worship of the holy river Ganga/Ganges) in Varanasi
Varanasi is a holy town of Hindus by the side of river Ganga. A group of priests daily in the evening at the Dashashwamedh Ghat , the main ghat in Varanasi on the Ganges River perform "Agni Pooja" (Worship to Fire) wherein a dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganga (the Ganges), Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe.
