I was walking down the street heading to the main section of the city and noticed the people in their doorways hadn't quite noticed me yet. Being an American tourist drew a lot of attention from the people I had passed by during the first couple of days. This was the first time where I finally felt that my presence didn't cause a reaction and I began to feel more comfortable taking in their presence as well.
