Geological Drama, writ miniature.
The impressive formations of the Painted Desert exist on all scales- this dramatic erosion was barely chest high, yet was a perfect miniaturization of the park's famous landscapes. I noticed it because I was on a bicycle; it would have been overlooked in a car.
