After I first camped in McCarthy, Alaska on July 4th, 2014, I got the bug to upgrade from tents to a hardshell but didn't want a traditional RV. I bought a box van and converted it to feel like a cabin inside; installed a miniature wood stove for heat source. She's called Alaska Express. I have been going to McCarthy every July 4th since.
