Getting Your Head Above Water
During an evacuation due to Hurricane Harvey, my family went to San Antonio for safety. While there, we visited one of the many venues that the city offered free to the evacuees. I took this photo at the Japanese Gardens. Koi are supposed to be a symbol of good luck, perseverance, and hope. Now that I think about it, these Koi, with their heads above the water, kind of represented us as evacuees.
