Ghana: Developing unity and nurturing knowledge
DUNK Grassroots is an NGO that empowers under-served communities by nurturing children and women so they may become agents of change in their own communities. This institution is currently operating in two of Accra´s most impoverished communities, namely Nima & Jamestown, serving over 600 children per year. A little girl with albinism is seen here participating in the activities among other children. Across Africa, between one in 5,000 people and one in 15,000 have albinism and she is one of the 5,400 in Ghana alone.
