Ghost of the night

With a very limited habitat range at the highlands of Central America and Mexico the Unspotted saw-whet owl (Aegolius ridgwayi) is a ghost among owls species. I was lucky enough to encounter this tiny beast ( 7" in length - 15 cm) during my first tour searching for this guy, it took 5 hours of searching in the middle of the night and the combo included lots of mud, rain, low temperatures and getting electrified by a fence while photographing this owl lol!
