Ghost Ranch; An old truck at a Chevron in Navajo Nation
These small towns and long stretches of 2 lane blacktop require a certain self reliance , and a type of patience from it's attendees. Out here recycling means keeping things running long after their shelf life. No doubt this truck had seen some miles, but it was tended to, and cared for, much like the traditions passed down from one generation to the next. Old stories, trades, skills, all carried preciously until it is time to send them along their way. This old truck is like that.A reminder of where we are from, out here on an American byway out in the desert.
