Ghost Riders in the Sky

On a hidden Saskatchewan ranch next to a bison farm, this gate had three skulls of oxen or other similar bovine hung on the central beam. These beasts of burden likely helped transform the earth into something ranchers could utilize, the biological tractors of a bygone age. With bullet holes in their skulls and empty eyes, they watch over the land they once roamed, eternally sitting in the still quietness of endless blue skies.
