Giant clay horses await the Gods to go hunting with
The photo shows a regular scene that one would find in rural temples of regional deities in South India. The horses are the mode of transport for most of the regional gods here and according to legends, the gods go hunting late at night to hunt away any evil spirits and monsters to protect the people of the village/town.
