Giant tortoise gives me the stink eye!

On a walking trip in the Galapagos, my group visited the Tortoise Preservation and Development Center on Isabela Island. The Center's purpose is to breed and release as many tortoises as possible, to replace several hundred thousand that were killed by hunters and predators in the previous decades. We saw embryos, babies, teenagers, 50 year olds, and tortoises who were 100-150 years old! This older gentleman looked me right in the eye and wasn't nearly as impressed with me as I was with him.
