Right place at the right time. While on safari we saw a pack of lions and 200 meters away was a Giraffe giving birth to a newborn .Was a rare sight.At first the legs were popping out of the mother and as it fell there was about 10 minutes of silence then the baby gradually got to its feet being unsteady at first.the whole process took only 30 minutes.A contrast to human beings taking nine months to one year for this process . If they don't get up and go they will surely be eaten by predators.
