In 2016, muralist Nils Westergard painted ‘ Girl with Phone’ in Richmond, Virginia as his interpretation of what he saw as “adoration of the Apple” company. When I discovered the mural in 2021, I happen to capture another “girl with phone” walking by at the same moment. Her image gives the mural its sense of size, as well as sense of irony. Art imitates life, or life imitating Art!
