Glacier Art of Greenland

Since I was living in Denmark, I thought what would be the best birthday present for me that year. Going to Greenland - a most unique, beautiful and important climate change environment…. It was pure magic. The glaciers are works of art. I was on a midnight cruise into the waters off of Ilulissat and it was almost like a white-out without the snow. Everything was gray and blended together. But, to my eye, the sculptured pieces floating in the water were full of color. Ice of odd shapes and sizes with textures molded from the wind and rain over the months and years. It was amazing to see.
