Gliding on Water
I had driven by the lake near my house earlier that day when I spotted this Great Blue Heron. I walked back later that day and to my surprise, I was still there! I walked around the ale to get a better angle and lighting and he started flying out of fright, so I was able to capture this picture! As a photographer, birds have always interested me. I believe Mother Nature's greatest creation was a bird. Birds represent freedom and grace; their ability to fly gives them no limits. When taking this picture, I captured the most prominent aspects of these creatures: the beautiful feathers, long wings, and brilliant coloring. The reflection of the heron on the water was an added effect!
