Gnarled Majestic Cedar

We hiked about 2 miles to see this tree. It's an old, gnarled cedar, its roots wrapped around a boulder on top of a cliff several hundred feet above a river. Boaters below greeted us and asked how we'd gotten up there. Sadly, some visitors had carved their names into its ancient bark.
