I have spent a month in Mauritania in the spring of 2016 riding in the cargo carriages of the longest train in Africa together with the local traders and shepherds and photographed their journeys. This shot shows a herd of sheep traveling on top of the pile of iron ore in one of the carriages of the train as it leaves the mines in Zouerat.
