I am specialized in equine photography and horses have captured my heart ever since I got the opportunity to ride them. Every once in a while you get to photograph a horse that has such lovely lines (this is a white stallion that is a mix of a Friesian horse and a Orlov trotter) including long manes that every picture is lovely. And that made me wonder how to show their beauty beyond the obvious. I’m working on a series of ‘Mane Envy’ horse portraits and this is my first based on a silhouette and light. This horse doesn’t need much more, this silhouette alone says it all....
