More than 20,00 attended the Golden Spike 150 main celebration which included speakers and visitors from around the world. Nearly 40,00 people attended the 3 day event. Chinese workers were especially recognized as being instrumental in the laying of the tracks which connected the Eastern and Western Seaboards of the United States.
