Gorilla in the Bush

Eastern Mountain Gorillas are critically endangered. Several groups in Uganda, Congo and Rwanda are habituated to humans to the extent that tourists are guided to them daily. Tourist fees are essential in preserving the species; they pay for schools, house roofs and other essentials of Rwandan life. This dramatically reduces motivation to poach or to illegally farm in gorilla habitat.
