Fantasy art is escapism. It allows us to revisit the safe, uncomplicated days of our childhood. The freedom it provides is relief from the pressures of everyday life. Our ethereal queen is adrift in the comfort of the darkness, proud and powerful. She rises above the pettiness and irrelevance of those who would drag her down. For now, she is unfettered.
