22nd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Graceful Titmouse
This tufted titmouse was singing in the tree in our backyard. When finished he stretched his wings and seemed to take a bow. I had been taking photos and was so glad to capture this moment, and the way the sun illuminates his wings.
