I was part of the FBI on 9/11. The media attention every anniversary can become difficult to bear. This year, I went with a friend to the Grand Canyon on that date. Flags were at half staff, and visitors were few. Among them, I met this young man, born after the tragedy. After chatting briefly, he sat down on a ledge and I noticed the slogan on the back of his t-shirt. As long as we have young people who believe in this, I think American will survive.
