Grandmother's House The village of "Vamanan" is located in Azadshahr County, Golestan Province. Nearly 400 hectares of saffron are cultivated in this village. The village of "Vamanan" has been nicknamed the Red Gold Pole in Golestan Province due to its saffron cultivation. In 1993, Mohammad Ahmadi, a cleric based in the village, was the first person to plant saffron bulbs in "Vamanan" and, by encouraging the people, transformed the economy of the village and the region. This picture is of an old woman's house in the village of Vamanan, Azadshahr, and a grandmother is busy cleaning saffron flowers with her granddaughter.
