This was the last day traversing Baja California, Mexico by ship. It was day with periodic cloudiness and the Gray Whale Calves were surfacing at Languna San Ignacio. This one suddenly came up right next to the side of our small boat and surfaced! The Calf was so close that it filled the entire frame at 35mm using the full frame Canon 5D Mark IV!
