Great Blue Heron Near the end of a walk at Arnold Arboretum in Boston, MA, this stunning Great Blue Heron slowly emerged from its hiding place behind tall grasses in a small shimmering pond lit up by the afternoon sun. I carefully and ever so slowly approached this wonder and after admiring its beauty for some time, decided to take a photo.
