Great Egret in the Everglades

This Great Egret was still in breeding plumage and you can see by the extra long feathers. The day was overcast which can soften the light and can make better photos of birds. This Great Egret was hanging out on a short Bald Cypress tree in a wetland area in the Everglades and we stopped and took a photo from the roadside using the car as a blind to minimize disturbing the bird in it's natural habitat.
