Great Spangled Fritillary on Swamp Milkweed
On the edge of a sedge meadow in central Wisconsin a new stand of swamp milkweed attracted a group of Great Spangled Fritillary butterflies. This property at one point was a farm which was turned into a pine plantation and now is in a Managed Forest Program. Each year new native plants are being added back into the landscape.
