GREECE REFUGEE CRISIS - LESVOS PORT
Their journey began in war, poverty and oppression. They are fleeing, by the hundreds of thousands, from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, Somalia, Iran and Pakistan, a ceaseless flow of humanity driven by wars, insecurity, lack of opportunity and fear for the newly formed Islamic State. Their desperation is only matched by their fortitude and sense of hope. Their first stop in Greece is the Island of Lesvos and in this picture they are waiting in the port for the boat to take them to Athens
