This photograph was being taken in a classroom of a sixth grade class in the remote village of Sognaayili, Northern Region, Ghana. Every student is wearing a blue-red-checked school uniform, but one girl. The girl in focus is wearing a green dress. With her very fierce look she radiated determination and hope. If it was coincidence that she was wearing a green dress on this specific day, and why she actually opposed her schoolmates and did not wear the same uniform as them, I don't know. I wish I would.
