Green snake seen while looking for the Big Five

Unexpected find: While riding in our safari vehicle and looking for a member of the Big Five (Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Lion, Cape Buffalo), we chanced upon this green snake. There are half a dozen or so green snakes in the eastern part of Africa. This one is harmless but does resemble a more deadly variety. It is locally believed to be an adaptation for survival.
