It was my first night in Flores, Indonesia. After meeting my guide for a trip to Komodo National Park, he offered to take me herping near a small village on the island. Leaving Labuan Bajo on the back of a motorcycle, we ventured into the forest searching for snakes. This viper was one of the few snakes we came across. It was a rewarding find and a great way to start my Indonesian adventure.
