Sunrise the morning of the eclipse. Wayah Bald, North Carolina near Franklin. We left the hotel for a two hour drive to the Bald. We left early to catch sunrise and beat the crowd for the eclipse. Ha... When we arrived and saw cars everywhere dark thirty... Oh no... We just prayed for a parking spot. When we go to the top of the Bald where folks camped we found a half a parking spot. Perfect for our Volkswagen.
