Grey seal pups

The Farne islands are one of the best places in the world to dive with Grey seals and this is largely due to the fact that they are protected under the Conservation of Seals Act 1970. This has allowed the seal population to grow enormously and it’s now estimated that there are more than 120,000 grey seals in Britain, representing 40% of the world’s population. They are a photographers dream animal as they absolutely love jumping around in front of the camera, fascinated by the flashing lights and big reflective dome.
