Grindadráp

The controversial whaling, Grindadráp, occur any time of the year in the Faroe archipelago. The tradition dates back to the Vikings. On this sunny morning in Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroese, 130 Long-finned Pilot whales were ‘driven’ to shore and killed. Beside many protest, today pilot whales are still being hunted in the Faroese, Greenland, Norway, Russia and Indonesia. Tórshavn, Argir. Streymoy island, Faroe Islands.
