While in a small power boat with my wife and three other colleagues, we were in search of grizzly bears along the interior waters of British Columbia. We suddenly came upon a fallen tree at waters edge where a mother grizzly and her two cubs were happily feeding on thousands of mussels that had grown on the tree. We were so close to the action we feared that our presence would interrupt their behavior. They were so happy feeding on the mussels we were welcomed to witness this amazing event. This photo depicts a grizzly bear cub grabbing mussels from a tree branch. Unforgettable.
