16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
Grizzly bear in sedge in infrared
A lot of people don't realise that grizzly bears are vegans for the majority of the year - and that foliage reflects infrared light. By altering my camera to capture the infrared I was able to edit the image so that the bear is sat in white grass.
