Grouper Eye
On a reef I dove from shore every day for three weeks, the resident Nassau grouper, a large female of perhaps 30 years of age, came to trust us and and allow close approaches. After several attempts, she finally allowed me to get close enough (lens face about three inches away from her eye) to capture this close-up showing the light flares withing the characteristic eye shape of the grouper family.
