Pelicans are my absolutely favorite bird on the planet. I had an experience with a pelican as a toddler that has stayed with me my entire life. As a Floridian turned Midwesterner, my number one photography goal when travelling tropical is pelicans. Each time, to get a better photo than the time before. This is not only my most recent but my favorite.
