13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Mobile
Gwanghwamun Gate, Seoul, Korea

This Gwanghwamun Gate is the main gate of the main Palace (Gyeongbokgung) of the Joseon Dynasty. This gate was rebuilt in 1968 (originally built in 1920 but bombed during the Korean War) as a concrete structure but restored to its original shape as a wooden and granite structure in 2010.
