Hamal in Hampi

When we were staying in Hampi, India, we would ride up to the rocks and watch the sunset most evenings. Every evening young children would sell lemonade their Mothers had made to the tourists watching the sunset. The children were in competition so we had to buy from one child and promise another we would buy from them another night. Hamal, aged 10, asked one evening if we would give him a lift back to town on our scooter, we agreed and he jumped in the middle. He told us he often rode his brother's scooter and would borrow it to ride around. He told us he could ride better than we did on the bumpy roads.
