This photo was taken during the Virginia Beach Mural Festival on August 23, 2022. Public Artist Hamilton Glass is spray painting detail onto the walls/canvas of his festival piece. His project, in this case, was about community through hands. The hands in the mural show energy and emotion. The intertwined hands are embracing each other reflecting the interplay of the parts of a community. This image shows Hamilton's own hands as a part of that process...his roll in making the art. He has become a part of that community in doing so. The mural is colorful and cheerful but the hands are very powerful.
