18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest People
hands and faces
This photo is from a collection I created for a college class, the collection is meant to represent my chronic illness and how it affects every part of my life. Fibromyalgia can feel like a very isolating and alienating illness, there is little known about it so life is constant guessing, trial and error, tests and procedures, being poked and prodded like an unknown creature. Hands all over you, always there, overwhelming and endless.
