Set on the Himalayas’ eastern edge north of India, Bhutan is a fascinating Buddhist kingdom, shrouded in mystery and beauty. It is known for its monasteries, fortresses, dramatic landscapes-- and its wonderful people and their creativity. I visited the west and central parts of the country, including the capital city of Thimphu.
