Nothing says America more than pumpkin pie and Halloween. While no longer living in the United States, the tradition of welcoming fall with a homemade pumpkin pie, a colorful table and a house full of friends and family has stuck with me. This year was a little quieter than usual due to Covid but nonetheless, it was the perfect time to appreciate the good things in life and express gratitude.
