Heart Mountain and WWII Japanese Relocation Camp Barracks

Heart Mountain WWII Japanese American Relocation Camp is between Cody and Powell, Wyoming. As a boy growing to manhood in Wyoming, we never heard of Heart Mountain camp; it remained a hushed secret. Not even as an undergraduate at the University of Wyoming was Heart Mountain mentioned. A few years ago, Heart Mountain Relocation Camp became an interpretive center showing photos and archives of that time in American history. A barracks remains with Heart Mountain in the background. It remains a remote place.
