You could hear the drums from about a block away. This area in Parc du Mont Royal in Montreal was sprawling with drummers. This man played at the center of the circle, I was surprised to see Lady Liberty on this other man's shirt here in the center of Montreal. A symbol of French and US history alive today. This drum circle transcended class and status it was made up of local musicians, students, working class families, artists, and the homeless.
