During summer 2020, my husband and I really got into "hiking" because of COVID-19 -- nature seems to be the place to go during the pandemic. After living in the Seattle area for over 20 years, we finally caught the hiking bug. We used to only go hiking with friends, who likes hiking, and even then, we usually requested them to pick an easy one because "our legs are not strong". Now we are going just by ourselves and it was fun! We got to check out a lot of places and trails we have never been.
