The sun gets unbearable by mid-morning. This is the time when most animals seek shade. I was following this herd of elephants as they made their way to the marsh in Maasai Mara. They walk over dry ground and grass, thinking only of mud baths and moist grass they will find near the water. This made their walk soothing as they swung their trunks around happily.
