Upon surfacing this loon was surprised to see me. Back Story: I spotted the loon in the distance to far out for a picture, so I sat and waited hoping it would make its way closer to my location. I am not sure who was more surprised, me or the loon, when it surfaced about 25 yards from the shoreline where I sat. Common Loon (Gavia immer)
